If you’re coming from The Great Ocean Road you can drive directly north from Aireys Inlet or North West from Anglesea and pop out at Wensleydale.
This route is off the beaten track - surrounded by state park you’ll be sure to see the odd Walaby and perhaps an echidna crossing the road!
The Wensley is the perfect bolt hole to explore The Great Ocean Road and also sample the Hinterlands unique food & wine culture.
Wensleydale is an easy 1.5 hours drive from Melbourne via the M1.
If you’re coming directly from Melbourne you pass through Geelong and Waurn Ponds so there are plenty of places to stop and shop on the way. We recommend Waurn Ponds as it’s straight off the freeway and really convenient for parking.
Brae, which was recently voted Australia’s top restaurant, is very close by. Just ask us for transport reccomendations too and from the restaraunt.
